OUTDOOR SPORTS

Now a day people do physical activity or sport in many places such as a gym, sports center, a park or even on the street outdoors.
Today in this post I am going to talk about the benefits and advantages of doing sports outdoors or in the park:
-It's free: the use of outdoor spaces is free, there is no charge to do outdoor exercises.
-After exercise in green spaces, blood pressure returns to baseline faster than when it is done in urban areas
-Improves stress management. Endocrine stress-related markers such as epinephrine, norepinephrine, and cortisol, fall after contact with nature
-Promotes the creation of vitamin D. Vitamin D, a vitamin that the body produces when the skin is exposed to direct sunlight and that fixes calcium and phosphorus for bone formation.
-You breathe fresh air: Refreshes and increases vitality and strength. When you train outdoors you take pure oxygen to fuel cells and help fight disease.
-Psychological benefits: Training outdoors can increase your vitality, improve well-being and self-esteem (Thompson et al., 2011) as well as reduce anxiety (Mackay & Neill, 2010). Furthermore, training at very high or maximum intensities is not necessary, as the greatest positive effects are found with moderate intensity exercise (Gladwell et al., 2013).
-More calorie expenditure: Performing various cardiovascular exercises outdoors, such as running, could mean a greater calorie expenditure than doing it in the gym (Jones & Doust, 1996; Jobson et al., 2007). In this sense, uneven terrain, resistance to air and wind increase the energy expended during exercise. Furthermore, the energy expended in moving forward during running is usually greater than when running on a treadmill (Jobson et al., 2007).
-Fun for all! You can enjoy exercising outdoors in the company of your family or friends. It is an excellent way to spend quality time with your loved ones, practicing a team sport or taking an excursion.

Also in some parks they have exercise equipment, so you can exercise easily.

As we have seen, practicing sports outdoors is a good option for those people who cannot afford a gym or the simple fact that they like to do physical activity outdoors.

  1. Very true, I like going out to practice outdoor sports a lot because I feel more liberated and I like breathing fresh air, that's why I always try to do outdoor sports because it brings benefits.
